It is not uncommon to hear about creative types ‘living for their art’. But Chinese artist Zhou Jie has decided to go a step further – she is living in it.

For her art project titled "36 Days," she said she would stay inside an exhibition hall in the Beijing Art Now Gallery where she sleeps on one of her sculptures, an iron wire bed.

For 36 days, Zhou is living among sculptures, many in the shape of animals.

The space is sparsely furnished, but Zhou does at least have company: the entire process is open to visitors and her boyfriend can also sleep beside her on the bed.
