Twenty-four-year-old Maika Kubo began learning flamenco while at university in her home country of Japan.

Her love of the old Andalusian style of music and dance brought her to Spain, where she has now been living for more than a year, taking flamenco classes and doing various jobs. Reuters photographer Marcelo del Pozo documented her life in Seville and her passion for its traditional flamenco culture.
