Chanel may be a byword for high fashion, but that did not stop the brand’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld fusing it with a faux-cheap-and-cheerful look for a show at Paris fashion week.
The hall of Paris’ imposing Grand Palais was transformed into a supermarket to exhibit his new creations for the French fashion house, with models striding past colourful shelves stacked high with goods.
