In 2012, Jose Manuel Abel arrived in Germany with just 250 euros in his pocket. He had come there, leaving his home and family behind, to start a new job after failing to find work in Spain for more than two years.
Over a year on, he has a steady job in Munich, but he still grapples with the language and with being so far from his family. Photographer Marcelo del Pozo documented his life in Germany and his joy when his wife came to visit.
