Decked out in natty suits and flowing dresses, locals and visitors from across Central and South America travelled to attend the 9th International Festival Danzon in Havana.

Danzon is a blend of European and African rhythms and developed in the late 19th century in the Cuban province of Matanzas. The dance is considered to be one of the official dances of the Caribbean nation and was declared part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Cuba in 2013.
