Dancer and choreographer Marcos Abranches smears himself with paint during a performance of the piece “Body on Canvas” at the Sergio Cardoso Theatre in Sao Paulo.

Abranches has cerebral palsy and he speaks and walks with some difficulty. His condition has not, however, prevented him from pursuing his passion for dance and he has performed in venues from this Brazilian auditorium to the Deutsche Oper in Berlin.
