A giant otter peers out from a lagoon at the Manu National Park in the Peruvian Amazon.

The 1.8 million hectare reserve has some of the highest levels of biodiversity on the planet and is home to a thousand species of birds, and over two hundred species of mammals including giant anteaters and jaguars.
