Forget turning up the volume, the band Thunderbolt Craziness turns up the voltage.

When they perform, the Chinese group charges tesla coils with a million volts of electricity, and then uses them to make vast electric arcs that flare around them in sync with their music.

The lightning-like bolts comes from tesla coils – a kind of transformer. Members of Thunderbolt Craziness are now working on tesla coils 1.8m high, in a bid to generate electric arcs 4.2 meters long.
