Precious Perez, a bubbly teenager living in Chelsea, Massachusetts, has been blind since birth.
Her life is both like and unlike that of many of her contemporaries: she goes to public school, takes voice lessons and plays goalball – a sport for visually impaired athletes. Reuters photographer Brian Snyder learned about her interests, her values and her aspirations for the future.
